This is my first kids' EP, from wayyyy back in 2012. I was quite a traditional folkie when I started out, and even wrote a long feature article in Canadian Folk Music Magazine decrying the slow death of folk music (you can download it as part of this purchase!).

It's a few years on now, and while I still love folk - Pete Seeger is one of my few true heroes - I have also softened a bit, mostly in response to my own need for creative possibility and also to accommodate all my other influences in the jazz and pop realms.

Mr. Ben is a Hamilton-based kids musician and educator. His first album, the Bumblebee EP, was released in 2011 shortly after opening for Fred Penner.

Since then, he has released 5 full-length studio albums & an album of lullabies, and is poised to release a 6th record in the spring on 2023.

He plays regular monthly shows in Dundas as well as making the circuit of summer and fall festivals. ... more
